1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a LocalNode product or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not make a purchase.
2. Products
LocalNode sells pre-configured home server hardware. Software is pre-installed as described on the product page at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to update pre-installed software versions to reflect security patches or improvements.
3. Pricing
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. However, your order is locked at the price displayed at the time of purchase.
4. Payment
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. LocalNode never stores, processes, or has access to your full credit card information. By completing a purchase, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the total order amount.
5. Shipping
We currently ship to US addresses only. Orders are processed and configured within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping takes 2–3 weeks. A tracking number will be emailed within 24 hours of shipment. Free shipping is available on orders over $299.
6. Returns & Refunds
We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the device must be in its original condition and packaging. Email hello@localnode.tech with your order number to initiate a return. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving the returned item.
7. Care Plan Subscription
The LocalNode Care Plan is an optional recurring subscription available on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. Your Care Plan benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period. Your hardware continues to function fully after cancellation.
8. Warranty
LocalNode hardware is covered by a 90-day limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover physical damage, water damage, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. To make a warranty claim, contact hello@localnode.tech.
9. Remote Support
Care Plan remote access is entirely invite-only. We cannot connect to your device without your explicit action to generate and share a temporary access token. You may revoke access at any time from your LocalNode dashboard. We do not maintain persistent access to any customer device.
10. Privacy
Your LocalNode device does not transmit any usage data, telemetry, or files to LocalNode servers. Our full website privacy policy is available at localnode.tech/privacy-policy.
11. Intellectual Property
The LocalNode brand, website design, and custom configuration software are proprietary. The bundled open-source applications (Jellyfin, Immich, WireGuard) retain their respective open-source licenses. Use of these applications is subject to their own license terms.
12. Limitation of Liability
LocalNode is not liable for any data loss, whether caused by hardware failure, software issues, or user error. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the purchase of a product is limited to the original purchase price of that product.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
